In 2025, two community organisations—the Lyne Network for Social and Environmental Justice and Independent Lyne—joined forces to create a stronger, united movement.
By combining our experience, volunteers and shared commitment to community-led change, Lyne Together was born.
Lyne Together is a community movement working across the Hunter and Mid North Coast of NSW to strengthen local voices, build community connections and stand up for the people of Lyne.
We came together because many people felt important local issues weren't getting the attention they deserved. People are feeling left out and left behind.
Lyne Together is a diverse group of locals who believe strong communities are built through listening, respectful conversation and practical action.
We bring people together across towns, villages, farming, coastal communities and mountain areas to share ideas, understand local issues and work towards practical solutions for a better future for our region.
Our work includes community listening, local forums, volunteer action, information sharing, civic education and grassroots campaigning. We encourage active participation in democracy throughout the year, and at election time
We support a community-backed independent candidate to represent Lyne.
Our strength comes from the people who make up our network. We connect through our volunteers, community groups and local leaders from across the electorate, sharing knowledge, skills, actions and resources to build a thriving Lyne.
Our goal is simple: to strengthen community voice, encourage active citizenship and help shape a stronger future for everyone who calls Lyne home.
